Running Poverty Out of Town
This year, the Lilac Bloomsday Association is pleased to be supporting the efforts of SNAP, Spokane County’s Community Action Agency. SNAP serves the low-income, homeless and vulnerable in our community with over 35 different programs.
SNAP programs rely on individual donors, like you. Your donation gives everyone in Spokane County the opportunity to have a better future. This year, SNAP is expected to served well over 40,000 people.
With your gift, SNAP provides emergency heating assistance, minor home repairs, money management counseling, housing opportunities, food from the food bank and free fresh market, conservation education, community voicemail, weatherization and much, much more.
SNAP has served the local community since 1966, working efficiently and effectively so that every dollar received in donations provides 90 cents to directly help those in need.
Creating opportunities and building community takes an attitude of caring for one another. It is part of SNAP’s culture to evolve to meet the new and changing needs of our community. Please help SNAP serve those most vulnerable in this time of economic uncertainty.
