Dear Bloomsday Corporate Cup Teams:
Considering last Wednesday’s announcement that Bloomsday 2020 will be an all-virtual event, we wanted to update you on the status of Corporate Cup. While we are excited to carry on the Bloomsday tradition virtually in 2020, a virtual event does eliminate our ability to facilitate a competitive race along with many of the perks and benefits you have come to love and expect for Corporate Cup. To preserve the integrity of the Corporate Cup competition and the team experience that you signed up for, the Bloomsday Board of Directors has decided to defer the entire 2020 Corporate Cup event to Bloomsday 2021 (May 2, 2021).
Your team registration(s) have already been carried forward to the 2021 event and will remain manageable by your team captain until March 19, 2021. Team captains can add or remove team members as needed and free of charge by logging in to the Corporate Cup registration site
More than anything this year, we truly wish we could be collecting your gear bags at the start line, offering you massages under the big tent, announcing overall and division winners, relaxing with you over a beer and great food, and most of all, watching the sea of Corporate Cup shirts flooding the streets of Spokane. We thank you for your patience and understanding as we manage through these uncertain times, and we genuinely appreciate your continued support of Bloomsday.
As for 2020—a year we will never soon forget—we would be thrilled if you signed up individually to complete the first-ever Virtual Bloomsday. We still want each of you to earn your 2020 finisher shirts and wear them proudly! Registration for Virtual Bloomsday
remains open through Wednesday, August 26.
Lastly, we have an ask for our business partners in the community. As you may know, Bloomsday is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with less than 2 full time paid staff that relies upon thousands of volunteers and race entries, including Corporate Cup, to not only support the race, but also invest in our community’s youth to lead active, healthy lives. If your company is in a position to do so, Bloomsday would greatly appreciate the donation of your 2020 team entry fee in support of our mission. Please contact me if your company is able to help.
I look forward to when we can gather once again for Corporate Cup in 2021! If I can answer any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me by replying to this email.
Stay safe and be well,
Director - Bloomsday Corporate Cupsarahranson@bloomsdayrun.org
